Tony has this passion to give history to any unused electric guitar,to make it precious and worth to be treasured. Tony’s steampunk guitars are his leather wrapped, metal clad beauties that has been nailed, screwed and riveted into a new past, and of course they look beautiful and can be used to rock out.

We had earlier featured the Aethertone custom electric guitar that appealed to the steampunk lovers, this time Cochran’s collection of eccentric electric guitars is truly worth admiring, and is also available for sale. He got a pretty collection of guitars, a total of 17, and they are not the cheapest guitars, average price floats around $1500.

Priced at $2030, it is one of Tony’s favorite guitars. It’s a Strat look alike clad with aluminum from the Porche James Dean died in. As Tony says, its original owner de-skinned the door and used the aluminum sheet to cover up the body cracks in the guitar.

Mary Freidenhower’s mother found some pieces of an electric guitar in 1959. She then combined these found pieces with an incomplete guitar left by her father before he went to prison. This Adjusticaster guitar is now available for $1859 at Tony Cochran’s website.

While patrolling a burned out village, Private Eldon R found this guitar in 1964, in a steaming pile of rubble. Guitar was in playable condition that time despite of some corrosion and charring. Now, a steampunk lover can buy this guitar for $2030.
